At its roots, Gottschalk Music Center is a family-owned small business hoping to encourage musicians of all ages and levels to make more music. Nearly a century ago, John F. Gottschalk took it upon himself to assemble and instruct a high school band that came to brighten the spirits of many residents struggling during the era of the Great Depression. Over his time as a teacher, he inspired many in the community, some of whom have kept the joy of music alive and well to this day!

Mr. Gottschalk’s next journey began in 1936 when he first opened his music store to continue to help musicians in a new way. We have since been involved in the music community for nearly 90 years, helping musicians and music lovers along their musical journey, and we hope to continue to do so for many years to come!
